Insulated joints for gas transmission and distribution and petroleum pipelines dedicated pipeline joints
Function or purpose: Insulating joint is a general term for pipe
joints that have both the sealing performance, strength performance
and the insulation performance required for electrical corrosion
protection required for buried steel pipelines.
Product introduction: Insulating flange is a general term for
pipeline flange joints that have both the sealing performance
required by buried steel pipelines and the electrical insulation
performance required by electrical corrosion protection projects.
It includes a pair of steel flanges, insulation seals between the
two flanges, flange fasteners and fastener insulation parts, and a
pair of steel short pipes that have been respectively welded to the
two flanges.
Insulating flanges and insulating joints are products produced by
our factory for the petroleum and chemical industries for many
years. It has simple structure, safe use and reliable performance,
and has been widely used and well received.

Installation maintenance and instructions
1. There should be dead holes to be welded within 12 meters of both
ends of the insulating joint and insulating flange installation.
2. Buried insulating joints should be located at the level of the
pipeline, and should not be installed in low-lying places where
water is accumulated throughout the year or the pipeline runs.
3. The installation position of the insulation joint and the
insulation flange should be convenient for inspection and
maintenance. The insulation joint and the insulation flange should
be set outside the ESD valve block of the entry and exit station.
4. Insulated joints There should be a distance of 6 times the
nominal diameter and no less than 3 meters between the insulating
flange and the pipe fittings.
5. Insulating joints Insulating flanges should not be used as
compensation parts for thermal deformation. When welding with the
pipeline, it should be aligned with the pipeline, and the pairing
should not be strong, and the weld should be free to expand and
contract without obstruction. During field installation and
welding, the temperature in the middle of the insulating joint and
insulating flange should not exceed 120°C.
6. Insulated joint After the insulated flange is welded to the
pipeline, the lower end should have a stable support.
7. Insulated joints The high-voltage surge protection of insulated
flanges should be implemented in accordance with SY/T0086
8. Buried insulating joints can be landfilled only after passing
the system pressure test and tightness test after being checked to
be correct.
