Pipeline standard: API SPEC 5L
Usage: used for gas, water and oil transportation in petroleum and
natural gas industries
API SPEC 5L-2007 (line pipe specification), compiled and issued by
the American Petroleum Institute, is commonly used all over the
world. Line pipe: The oil, gas or water that is output from the
ground is transported to the petroleum and natural gas industrial
enterprises through the line pipe. Line pipes include seamless
pipes and welded pipes. The pipe ends have flat ends, threaded ends
and socket ends. The connection methods are end welding, coupling
connection, socket connection, etc. The main material of the tube
is B, X42, X46, X56, X65, X70 and other steel grades. Our company
has passed American API certification (API 5CT and API 5L).

Pipeline steel pipe introduction
Pipeline steel refers to a type of steel with special requirements
used to transport oil, natural gas and other pipelines. Depending
on the thickness and subsequent formation, it can be produced by
hot tandem rolling mills, steckel rolling mills or medium and heavy
plate rolling mills. Spiral welding or UOE straight seam welding
forms large-diameter steel pipes.
Pipeline transportation and railway transportation, road
transportation, water transportation and air transportation are
listed as the five modern transportation methods. Since the initial
industrial pipeline, the construction of oil and gas pipelines has
experienced nearly two centuries of development. The production and
application of pipeline steel in my country started late, and there
was no real pipeline steel production before 1985. However, in
recent years, the research, development, and application of
pipeline steel in my country have been rapidly developed. Thanks to
the promotion of major pipeline projects such as the Western
Pipeline, the West-East Gas Pipeline, and the West-East Gas
Pipeline, the X60, X70 and X70 have been completed successively.
