The 8C model is a miniature convex ultrasound transducer. This probe is a subtype of the male probe and has the same footprint as the male probe, but is smaller. This micro convex sensor has a smaller footprint and is best suited for diagnosis of infants and children.
This probe is designed to assist medical personnel in neonatal and pediatric applications. Since convex probes cannot help in proper scanning of infants and children due to their larger footprint, this miniature convex probe can be used to perform abdominal and vascular scans in children.
