Liquid silicone injection molding can produce parts with complex structure. Liquid silica gel injection molding is suitable for mass production and complex shape products and other molding processing fields.The injection molding process of liquid silica gel can be roughly divided into six stages, that is, mold closing, injection, pressure holding, cooling, mold opening, product taking out.


In this process, the quality of liquid silica gel injection products is generally related to temperature, pressure, time.The improvement of temperature control can be carried out from three stages: barrel temperature, nozzle temperature and mold temperature.The nozzle temperature is usually slightly lower than the high temperature of the barrel, the principle is to avoid liquid silica gel in the nozzle vulcanization forming blockage.



Mold temperature can be divided into three parts: heating, heat preservation, cooling.Mold temperature determines the condition of liquid silicone vulcanization, the size and structure of injection parts, performance requirements and other process conditions.

  1. Control of liquid silicone injection molding pressure: The pressure control in injection molding is divided into plastic pressure and injection pressure, and directly affects the quality of injection parts.

  2. Plasticizing pressure: silicone injection molding machine using screw injection machine, the top of the screw melt in the screw rotation back by the pressure is called plasticizing pressure, also known as back pressure.The pressure can be adjusted by means of a relief valve in the hydraulic system.The increase of plasticizing pressure is proportional to the strengthening of shear action, which can increase the temperature of hot vulcanized silicone rubber material, and vice versa.

  3. Injection pressure: the injection pressure of liquid silicone injection machine is calculated based on the pressure applied to liquid silicone rubber at the top of plunger or screw.The role of injection pressure in injection molding is to overcome the flow resistance of silicone rubber material from the barrel to the cavity, to give the rate of silicone mold filling and to compress the silicone rubber.
