The aseptic spray dryer unit is an important equipment prepared for injection powders, such as streptomycin sulfate, garamycin sulfate, kanamycin sulfate, aminobenzylpenicilin and some TCM injection.

In the aseptic spray drying system, all materials and air entering the system must be sterilized, and the product collection must also be carried out in a laminar flow room. Therefore, the material liquid that needs to be atomized must be filtered and sterilized before being sent to the spray The compressed air used for atomization also needs to be purified before use (the user takes care of the above two items); The air supply system must maintain a positive pressure operation, and the air is delivered by a blower, through pre-filtration→medium-efficiency-filtration→high-efficiency-filtration→heat-resistant high-efficiency filtration, to obtain clean and dry media. In this way, the filtered clean air is heated by the heater and then delivered to the atomizer system installed on the top of the spray drying tower, meeting the requirements of GMP pharmaceutical production.

The atomization system can use lubricating-free centrifugal atomization, or use sterile filtered compressed air to atomize through a two-fluid nozzle, so that the aseptic liquid and the clean and dry medium are fully mixed and contacted in the drying room. It will be dried into powdered products within time.

Advantage of lubricant-free centrifugal atomization :

Lubricant-free centrifugal atomization can be used in the atomization system, and through the two-fluid nozzle atomizer, the atomization system adopts the compressed air of aseptic filtration to atomize the aseptic feed liquid completely. This kind of atomization

mode can prevent the foreign matters produced by metal abrasion during the mechanical atomization mode from dropping out. It can prevent the lubricant from leakage due to the possible loosened seal of centrifugal atomizer or prevent the finished powder from entering the bearing system.

Therefore, the aseptic feed liquid and the clean drying medium are fully mixed and contacted in the drying chamber, and are dried into powder products in a short time.

The dried product and air are sent to the cyclone separator for separation. The finished products are collected and packed on the clean bench in the aseptic room. The powder collection system must be put into the laminar flow packing room to ensure the products’ cleanliness of 1 hundred grade. The exhaust gas is emptied after being purified by a bag filter.

Therefore, materials that are in direct contact with drugs should use AISI316 stainless steel approved and recommended by the FDA (1Cr18Ni9Ti is restricted due to corrosion with CL-ions, 304 and carbon steel are used in unimportant occasions), and high temperature clean air above 200 ° C is used to carry out on-line dry heat sterilization, set quick-open cleaning ports at key points of the plant, use quick-open and detachable sanitary fittings for pipelines, and the special anti-return air high-efficiency filtration and check valves are set for the air-exhaust unit, as can ensure that the system’s cleanness reaches Class one hundred.
