Food Grade Tinplate Sheets / Coils for Canned Dairy Products
Packaging SPTE TFS
SPTE (tinplate)
1. Material characteristics: SPTE is electroplated tin steel sheet,
commonly known as tinplate, which is a cold-rolled low-carbon thin
steel sheet or steel strip plated with commercial pure tin on both
sides. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance,
non-toxicity, high strength and good ductility. It can effectively
prevent dairy products from contacting with external air and
moisture, avoid deterioration, and ensure product quality and
safety.
2. Structural composition: It is mainly composed of five layers:
steel substrate, tin-iron alloy layer, tin layer, oxide film and
oil film. Among them, the steel substrate provides strength and
processing performance, the tin layer plays the main role in
corrosion prevention, the tin-iron alloy layer enhances the bonding
force, and the oxide film and oil film further improve the rust
prevention and lubrication performance.
3. Production process: The production process includes steelmaking,
hot rolling, pickling, cold rolling, continuous annealing,
flattening, steel coil preparation line, electroplating, oiling and
other links. By strictly controlling the process parameters of each
link, the product quality is ensured to be stable. For example, the
thickness and uniformity of the tin plating layer can be accurately
controlled in the electroplating link.
4. Application advantages: In terms of canned dairy product
packaging, its good sealing can prevent dairy product leakage and
external pollution; light-shielding property helps protect the
nutrients in dairy products from light damage; and firmness ensures
that the packaging is not easily damaged during transportation and
storage.
TFS (chrome-plated plate, tin-free steel plate)
1. Material characteristics: TFS is a new type of canning material
developed for the situation of limited metal tin resources and high
cost. It has the advantages of low price and strong coating
adhesion, but its corrosion resistance and appearance gloss are not
as good as tin-plated plate, and it cannot be soldered at present,
and can only be overlapped by resistance welding or bonding.
2. Structural composition: It is usually composed of a steel
substrate and a chrome-plated layer. The chrome-plated layer
provides certain corrosion resistance and decorative properties.
3. Production process: The production process includes the main
steps of substrate preparation and chrome plating. The specific
process involves surface cleaning, pretreatment, chrome plating
liquid composition control, electroplating parameter adjustment,
etc., to ensure the quality and performance of the chrome plating
layer.
4. Application advantages: For some canned dairy products that are
cost-sensitive and do not require high corrosion resistance, TFS is
an optional packaging material. Its strong coating adhesion is
conducive to diversified surface decoration and printing, improving
the aesthetics of product packaging.
