Lubricating oil can reduce the friction between the moving parts in
the motor, gearbox and bearings. It can also reduce the heat
generated in the compression chamber, fill gaps to form an airtight
seal, and remove particles and contaminants from moving parts. All
these activities will gradually destroy the viscosity and other
characteristics of the oil, thereby reducing its effectiveness. As
mentioned above, filtering oil can extend its production life.
There are other technologies that can help the lubricant do its
job, but eventually need to be replaced.

How to keep the lubricant in the best working condition?
- Choose the right oil-please refer to the air compressor
manufacturer's guide to choose the right lubricant for your
industrial air compressor. Only when the listed engine oils are
used with due consideration of specific application conditions can
high-quality products and long service life be guaranteed.
- Lubricate according to plan-again following the manufacturer's
recommendations, calculate the use time of the air compressor,
motor speed and other operating conditions to determine the
frequency of the lubrication system. This may be every two months
to once a year.
- Use the correct amount of oil-a small amount of oil is discharged
through the automatic drainage system of the air compressor, or
through the air inlet. Between oil changes, you need to replenish
the supply to compensate for the loss of lubricant. Before starting
the air compressor every day, use the air compressor dipstick or
sight glass to check the oil level.
- Watch out for excessive oil usage-if you find yourself refueling
more frequently than reasonable, it may be a sign of
malfunction-insufficient operating/ambient temperature, shortened
cycle time or oil leakage. Running an air compressor with little or
no lubricant is a sure way to burn out worn and non-wear parts
prematurely. On the other hand, overfilling can cause maintenance
problems, as well as excessive wear/damage of rotating components.
Before starting the equipment, drain the excess oil.
