Pneumatic Bumper

Pneumatic bumper are widely used for ship-to-ship transfer, double banking, and ship-to-dock berths. They are preferably used in ports where the tides vary greatly. Jerryborg's bumpers can be easily deflated, enabling simple and cost-effective relocation, providing protection in the dock and ship-to-ship mooring scenarios. We offer products in various sizes, and they can also be fitted with tires or chain nets to provide additional protection.

Pneumatic bumper is marine equipment used to prevent ships, ships, and other naval vessels from colliding with each other or crashing into docks, wharves, and piers. In other words, it can be simply called marine bumpers.

Pneumatic Bumper Structure

① Outer rubber layer

Air filled bumpers​ are covered by the outer layer made of natural rubber. The outer rubber layer uses special compounds that provide additional tensile strength and tear strength to protect the fender from severe weather conditions and frequent use.

② Synthetic-tire-cord layer

The Synthetic-tire-cord layer is made of synthetic-tire-cord fabrics, compared with synthetic canvas fabric and synthetic belt fabric, this reinforcement layer performs better in fatigue-resistance and pressure-holding.

③ Inner rubber layer

The inner rubber layer is specially designed to seal the internal air and prevent any leakage, just like the inner tube of a tire.
