What is battery management system BMS?

Deligreen BMS is defined as an electronic system that manages a rechargeable battery(lithium phosphate,NCM battery,single cell or battery pack) by monitoring its state, calculating secondary data, reporting that data, protecting the battery, controlling its environment, and/or balancing it.


Why do we need battery management system?

Battery Management Systems are the brains/CPU behind battery packs. They manage the output, charging,discharging and provide notifications on the status of thebattery pack. They also protect the batteries from damage.


What is 4S12V 80A Common Port BMS?

This is a smart battery management system,which monitor and control the status of the batteries&battery pack.It's a lifepo4 battery BMS,4 batteries in series,12V,80A current.common port.

The battery can be in surveillance on your phone,through which you can watch the current,voltage,over current,over voltage etc of the batteries.It is connected by the bluetooth of the BMS.Smart BMS is more convenient than the hardware BMS.

Connection diagram

Pls kindly follow up the guide,in case the battery gets burnt by short circuit.

1, PIs do not insert balance wires into BMS before connecting batteries, must make sure connecting with batteries correct.

2, The sequence of connecting wires for BMS:

Notes: PIs ensure to use balancing wires from Daly!

1. From thin black balance wire to start, the 2nd wire(thin red wire) connect with the 1st battery's positive pole. Then connect each ell's positive pole in order until the last one B+;

  • Do not insert the connector directly after the wires were connected. Measure the voltage between two adjacent metal terminals on the back of the connector. If it is Li-ion battery, the voltage should be between 3.0 ~ 4.2V, Lifepo4 battery should be between 2.0 ~ 3.6V, and LTO battery should be between 1.5~ 2.75V;
  • After the wiring sequence and voltage are confirmed to be correct, then insert into BMS; .
  • Adjust the multimeter to the buzzer position and measure the internal resistance between B - and P -when the internal resistance is 0, there will be a beep, which means that the BMS is good. Otherwise,do not weld and contact the customer severice.;
  • The last step to connect B-(thick blue wire) with battery pack's total negative pole.

After finished wiring:

Measure whether the B + and B-voltage and B + and P-voltage of the battery are equal, If yes, it means the BMS works normally and can be used. If not, please recheck according to the above wiring sequence.
