Medium and Large Seawater Desalination series
Medium and Large seawater desalination equipment is applied to
freighter, tanker, drilling platform, island, water shortage city.
The RO system .adopts the most advanced membrane component and the
most advanced system software, which combined with efficient energy
recovery technology.
It can remove mineral salt, heavy metal ion, organic bacteria, germ
and so on effectively to turn sea water into drinking water that
meets standards GB5749-2006.
The whole system has equipped advanced flow meter, pressure control
meter and safe pressure relief device, as well as advanced observation system to ensure the system
running smoothly and product quality fresh water and provide accurate value.(When the TDS of
production water exceed standard value, the system opens drain
value automatically to discharge water)
Reverse osmosis
Usually called ultrafiltration method, it is a membrane separation
desalination method that was adopted only in 1953.
This method uses a semi-permeable membrane that only allows
solvents to permeate but not solutes to separate sea water from
fresh water. Under normal circumstances, fresh water diffuses to
the seawater side through the semi-permeable membrane, so that the
liquid level on the seawater side gradually rises until a certain
height is stopped. This process is permeation. At this time, the
static pressure of the water column above the seawater side is
called osmotic pressure.
If an external pressure greater than the osmotic pressure of the
seawater is applied to the seawater side, the pure water in the
seawater will reverse osmosis into the freshwater. The biggest
advantage of reverse osmosis is energy saving. Its energy
consumption is only 1/2 of the electrodialysis method and 1/40 of
the distillation method. Therefore, since 1974, developed countries
such as the United States and Japan have successively shifted their
development focus to reverse osmosis.
The reverse osmosis seawater desalination technology is developing
rapidly, and the engineering cost and operating cost continue to
decrease. The main development trend is to reduce the operating
pressure of the reverse osmosis membrane, increase the recovery
rate of the reverse osmosis system, cheap and efficient
pretreatment technology, and enhance the system's anti-pollution
ability.
