BU Piston rod seal is a compact seal with a baffle ring. This seal is mainly used in the construction machinery cylinder seal system, as a buffer seal. The BU-type piston rod seal separates the main seal from the cylinder pressure, which is often as high as 1,000 bar in extreme conditions. Due to its special structure, this seal can transfer the pressure formed between the main seal and the buffer seal back to the system.
Rod and buffer seal for hydraulic cylinders, single-acting. Compact seal design with anti-extrusion ring. Primary seal in tandem systems. For high pressures and extreme pressure peaks. Robust design with extreme wear resistance.

BU Rod Seal is the result of further development. It has two sealing lips and a strong anti-extrusion retaining ring. This additional lubriC-A-Tion is maintained in the sealing gap due to the action of the two sealing lips. (This greatly reduces dry friction and wear, thus extending the life of the seal.) Under certain conditions, satisfactory sealing performance can only be achieved by means of seals installed in their respective grooves one after the other. BU, a two-channel lip seal, can replace the expensive series device.
Above all, BU Rod Seal can be used in a variety of appliC-A-Tions where the physical properties of ordinary rubber or fabric reinforced rubber are not met.
