Rotary Evaporator Application

Rotary evaporator is an necessary lab instrument mainly used for the evaporation, concentration, crystallization, drying, separation and solvent recovery in medicine, chemical engineering and biopharmacy industry.

Rotary evaporator is equipped with charging joints, rotary evaporator above 5L volume has discharging outlet, which is convenient for automatic and continuously working in evaporation; rotary evaporator above 10L volume is equipped with double condenser(main condenser and vice condenser), which enables a better condensation effect and higher recovery rate.

Rotary Evaporator Features

RE-2000A rotary evaporator motor is 10-180rpm stepless speed regulation and has the function of automatical lifeting.

Rotating body is composed of a reliable micro-motor and intergrated control device. Under function of electronic speed regulation, it can rotate between 10-110rpm, which has reached advanced level at home and abroad.

1. The lifting system of the rotary evaporator adopts motor lifting structure to move up and down.When the lifting switch on the lifting hadle in the front of the machine is pressed, the rotary body, condenser and receiving flask can rise and fall simultaneously. The maximum lifting distance is 120mm.

2. Rotating shaft adopts high temperature borosilicate glass with good sealing properties, resistant to high temperature.Sealing parts use teflon and fluororubber sealing in both directions with good sealing effect.

3. Rotary evaporator is equipped with heating groove with resistance wire heater. Temperature range is from room temperature to 99℃. Teflon composite water bath is resistant to corrosion and longevous. The water bath of RE-2000A rotary evaporator can hold 250-2000ml rotary flask. Additionally, the water bath can move right or left.

4. The device is provided with a temperature indicator, intelligent temperature control, digital display. Temperature control is realized by the PT100 sensors. When the water temperature reaches a preselected temperature, the controller automatically cut off the heater power. When the water temperature is below temperature,the controller automatically switches the heater power in order to achieve a constant temperature in the bath.

Working Condation of Rotary Evaporator

The higher of vacuum degree, the faster of evaporation speed, vacuum degree of water evaporation should no less than 0.096MPa.

The higher of water temperature, the faster of evaporation speed, but generally it should not exceed 80℃.

The lower of cooling water temperature, the faster of evaporation speed, refrigeration water has better effect.
