Drilling mud process submersible slurry pump for conveying drilling
mud to centrifuge
AP series submersible slurry pump is mainly used in environmental
protection, new-type building materials, coal washing, municipal
works, thermal power generation, coal gas coking planet, refinery,
mining, paper making, cement plant, food products factory and other
fields to pump thick oil, oil residue, dirty oil, mud, mortar,
running sand and other liquids. Or used to pump liquid containing
silt materials and corrosive liquids in the chemical and medicine
industry.
For pump feeding centrifuge, we need to consider the centrifuge
flow rate. For pump feeding shaker in the HDD mud system, we should
consider the whole mud system flow rate. And then the submersible
length is another issue affect configuration or design. We can
supply a pump meet submersible depth up to 3m. How to achieve this?
By extension pipe connected to the input port.
Drilling fluids are transferred to desilter cones by a centrifugal
pump from the desander tank or compartment. Desilter cone is fed by
desilter pump with fluids out of desander. Under pump pressure, the
fluids run into cones and flow with centrifugal force. Then the
heavy particles will deposit down and pushed out of cone drop in
Apex. Particles larger than 15 microns will be separated out of
drilling mud.
Drilling mud process submersible slurry pump is widely used to feed
fluids into decanter centrifuge. Such a pump is rather compact and
anti-abrasive. We call a submersible slurry pump as a
maintenance-free pump. Besides used in oil drilling fluids process,
a submersible pump is widely used in HDD, trenchless, CBM mud
recycling, too. At the job site, slurry pump set vertically in
desilter tank for mud feeding into a centrifuge
For HDD and other mud systems in civil construction, the slurry
pump can be set over mud pit on a frame or support bar. The pump
inlet port is submerged in pit or tank to transfer drilling mud
into the shaker. While in the oil drilling mud system, the slurry
pump will be set on desilter tank or compartment. If we have 2 sets
of the centrifuge, then 2 sets of slurry pump requested. For some
users, they prefer the screw pump, since screw pump is a
progressive pump. But the submersible slurry pump is more durable
and high-resistance to sand or cuttings in the drilling fluids.
Moreover, the bearing and connection part between the motor and
pump body is above the liquid level, so there is no need to
maintain the pump. Higher efficiency and lower cost.
The submersible slurry pump is another kind of centrifugal pump.
But it's more durable and strong than a common pump. It can
transfer many different kinds of hard materials, including sand,
cement, particles, shale, and so on. So, it meets many requirements
in different industries. The main structure including impeller,
pump case, shaft, bearing, motor, supporting frame, and so on.
Handling capacity is from 30m³/h to 120m³/h. The pump performance
including flow rate, heat, pressure. They will affect each other on
the performance.
