Ball Mill is a type of grinder used to grind materials into an
extremely fine powder mainly for use in the mineral processing
industry. Ball Mills can grind various ores and other materials
either wet or dry, depending on requirements.
Ball mill is the key equipment for grinding after the crushing process in
the beneficiation plant, it is used to grind kinds of materials such as copper ore, gold ore, magnetite ore, quartz, lead zinc ore and other materials into fine powder 20-75micrometer. Based on
discharging type, It could be grate type,overflow type etc. What's more, the ball mill can be used for the dry and wet grinding for all kinds of ores and other grind-able materials.

Working principle
Ball mill grinding machine is a kind of horizontal drum-type
grinding mill with external gear and double bins. Materials goes
evenly through quill shaft in feeding device into the first bin,
which has ladder lining or ripple lining with steel balls in
different specifications.Steel balls are taken to a certain height
by centrifugal force from drum rotation and then fall. Thus it will
give a heavy blow to materials, playing a role of grinding.
Materials after crushed in the first bin shall enter bin across
single-layer diaphragm into the second, which is provided with flat
lining with steel balls, to go through further grinding. The ground
materials are discharged through the discharging board thus the
grinding process is finished.

size of 35 mesh or finer.

Grate or Diaphragm Discharge Ball Mill
In the discharge end of this mill, a slotted full diameter or
partial diameter grate with discharge lifter assembly conveys the
material to the discharge trunnion opening. The grate serves to
retain balls, tramp, and coarse material. A gradient created
between the feed opening and the discharge slots eases the flow of
material.
Trunnion Overflow Discharge Ball mill
A trunnion overflow mill has an open discharge end. Material flows
through the trunnion as a result of the pulp gradient between the
feed and discharge openings. A reverse helix in the discharge
trunnion liner retains balls in the mill.
