Ball Mill Application:
A ball mill grinds ores and other materials to a typical product
size of 35 mesh or finer.

Grate or Diaphragm Discharge Ball Mill
In the discharge end of this mill, a slotted full diameter or
partial diameter grate with discharge lifter assembly conveys the
material to the discharge trunnion opening. The grate serves to
retain balls, tramp, and coarse material. A gradient created
between the feed opening and the discharge slots eases the flow of
material.
Trunnion Overflow Discharge Ball mill
A trunnion overflow mill has an open discharge end. Material flows
through the trunnion as a result of the pulp gradient between the
feed and discharge openings. A reverse helix in the discharge
trunnion liner retains balls in the mill.

♦The cylindrical mill adopts the driving type edge-driving,
center-driving, edge-driving with multi-point meshing, etc; driven
by asynchronous motor +reducer +pinion and gear as well as
synchronous motor +
air lclutch + pinion and gear.
♦Generally supported by static-dynamic pressure bearing on both
ends. Fuuly closed self-aligning 120º osculation rocker bearing is
used. Also single or double slipper staic- dynamic bearings can be
used. The bush is made by NC machine.
♦ The large open gear is designed using AGMA standard, Equipped
with reliably sealed gear housing and grease ahtomatic spraying
lubrication system.
The shell is key part of a mill. Carry out finite element analysis
on it with computer to ensure the reliable operation;
♦ The shell is automatically welded, ultrasonic inspected, wholly
annealed and machined by large special machine tools on one
chucking; there special seal on static-dynamic connection parts ,
ch as feed and discharge hoper, trunnion, etc, to prevent oil and
slurry leakage;
♦ The liner is of wear-resistance material mad by our company, wich
has been specially heat-treated, with high hardness and long
service life. Also other wear-resistance casting or rubber liner
can be used;
♦ There are slow speed drive for medium and large mill;
♦The high and low pressure lubricating station is equipped for
medium and large mill;
♦The control and protection system is controlled by PLC.
Maintenance procedures
(1) Maintenance cycle:
1. After repairing for 1 month;
2, minor repairs 1-3 months;
3. 12-24 months of middle repair;
4. Overhaul 60-120 months.
(2) Maintenance content:
1. After repair: mainly check the oil quantity, adjust the
clearance of each part, strengthen the bolts of each part, replace
the individual lining plate or check the wear condition of the
lining plate, and repair the feeder.
2. Minor repairs: Check the wear of the cleaning and measurement
tooth surfaces, check the wear of the lining plate, and replace if
necessary.
3. Intermediate repair: replace the feeding parts, replace the
transmission pinion runner and bearing, and check the disassembly
of the reduction box. The large gear can be adjusted and used
according to the situation when it is running for 3-5 years, and
the hollow shaft should be measured when it is running for 3-5
years.
4. Overhaul: disassemble, inspect, clean, measure, repair or
replace the large gear, hollow shaft, spherical bush, transmission
shaft, pinion and cylinder according to the wear condition, repair
and replace electrical components, after the electrical equipment
is overhauled, it must be tested for acceptance Work.
(3) Maintenance standards:
1. The processing surfaces of the two bearing bases are on the same
horizontal plane, the tolerance between the centers is 1mm, the
deviation of the non-parallelism of the longitudinal centerline is
0.5mm, and the deviation of the horizontal centerline is 0.5mm per
meter.
2. The contact angle of the spherical contact surface of the pad
should be uniform; no less than 1-2 points per 50Ⅹ50mm2; the
contact surface between the hollow shaft and the pad should be no
less than 2 points per square inch at 90°-100°, and the journal and
the The clearance on both sides of the bearing is approximately the
same.
3. The mating surface of the cylinder flange and the front end
cover should ensure good contact, no gaskets are allowed, and the
tolerance of the different axial degrees of the two hollow shafts
is less than 0.8mm. When the large ring gear and the cylinder end
cover are connected and assembled, the thrust should be firm and
the positioning pin should be installed. The radial swing of the
ring gear should not exceed 0.5mm and the axial swing should not
exceed 0.84mm.
4. When installing the lining plate, the end cover should be
installed first. The lining plate of the cylinder should start from
the mouth and be carried out according to the assembly
requirements. The screws should be tightened evenly to prevent
water leakage. There should be no gaps in the rubber lining , and the gaps should
be blocked with sponge.
5. The center line of the pinion should be parallel to the center
line of the large gear, and the deviation should not exceed 0.2mm
per meter. The tooth top clearance is 1/4 module, the tooth side
clearance is 1.06-----1.8mm, the contact area of the tooth surface
is not less than 50% of the tooth length and 40% of the tooth
height.
6. The transmission coupling of the reducer, motor and transmission
shaft should maintain high coaxiality, the non-axiality of the
center line is not more than 0.3mm, and the inclination of the
center line is less than 1/1000.
