Description of hydraulic pump in general use:
Turbocharger is an integral umpart of the ship's marine engine as it reuses the exhaust gases in order to increase the overall efficiency of the engine. It consists of two parts – blower and turbine sides, which need equal attention while carrying out routine maintenance procedures.
Turbocharging is one kind of supercharging by using exhaust gas turbocharger. In which the energy in the exhaust gas expelled from the engine cylinder is utilized in driven in gas turbine, which is connected to a centrifugal air blower and air is supplied to scavenge air trunk.

Brief introduction of Marine turbocharger:
When the diesel-exhaust turbocharger combination is in operation,
the marine turbocharger/exhaust gas turbocharger is prone to
failures such as turbine casing corrosion, bearing damage, blade
damage, gas seal damage, and supercharger vibration. The daily good
maintenance management can reduce these failures.

All measurements of the shaft, the pinion and the bores of the
casing need to be checked if they are within tolerance.
The oil pump is tested at several speed ranges for vibration and to
check if the oil pump is delivering the required pressure at the
correct speed after reassembly.
