A516 Gr.70 boiler steel has excellent notch toughness and is used in both pressure vessels and industrial boilers.

ASTM A516 Gr.70 boiler plate contains manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and silicon at the highest levels allowed by

the ASTM. A516 Gr.70 boiler steel is a high strength metal, and it is easy to fabricate and can be securely welded.

ASTM A516 Gr.70 boiler plate also has good corrosion resistance.

Applications	Used for weld fabrication of pressure vessels that require improved notch toughness for lower than ambient temperature service.
