What is the difference between a free-standing wine cooler and a
built-in wine cooler?
A free-standing wine cooler is designed to stand alone while a
built-in wine cooler (also called a zero clearance or under-counter
wine cooler) is designed to be built into existing counters and
cabinetry as they include a front vent located under the door that
channels heat forward away from the unit.
What’s the difference between a single-zone wine cooler and a
dual-zone wine cooler?
A single-zone wine cooler has one temperature control and the
storage space is undivided, that the whole cooler is set to the
same temperature. It suits you if there are only red wines or only
white wines to be stored, while they don’t have the same optimal
temperatures.
A dual-zone wine cooler has two temperature controls and the
storage space is divided into sections, which could be set to
corresponding temperatures. It is ideal for storing both red wines
and white wines without resorting to two wine coolers.
