Product Description
Mullite is a high-quality fire-resistant raw material. This type of
mineral is relatively rare. It mainly consists of high-purity fused
mullite, ordinary fused mullite, all-natural bauxite concentrate
mullite and light burned mullite. Mullite is a mineral produced by
aluminosilicates at high temperatures, and mullite is formed when
the aluminosilicates are artificially heated. The natural mullite
crystals are elongated needles and are in a radial cluster. Mullite
is used to produce high-temperature refractory materials. It is
widely used as a thermal barrier coating in C/C composites. The
mullite AI2O3-SiO2 element system has a stable binary solid
solution at normal pressure. The chemical formula is AI2O3-SiO2.
The natural mullite is very small, and it is usually synthesized by
sintering method or capacitance methods
