How Does a Desalination System Work?
Seawater desalination equipment mainly adopts the permeation concept of reverse osmosis membrane. Using the principle of permeation, the reverse osmosis membrane filters the salt in the seawater except the concentrated water, leaving clean drinking water. As the pipeline flows out, the next step is processed. This process becomes osmotic pressure, proper water supply pressure, to remove impurities and salts from the water, leaving clean water for the purpose of reverse osmosis desalination.
Working Process of Seawater Desalination RO System
Pre-treatment System & RO System
The pretreatment system includes water supply pump, multi-media
filter, precision filter and security filter, which mainly deals
with large impurities, residual chlorine and fine particles
contained in the raw water to ensure the water quality of the
reverse osmosis system.
The reverse osmosis system includes high pressure pump, RO reverse
osmosis membrane assembly, pressure regulating valve and cleaning
box, which mainly further processes the pre-treated raw water into
fresh water.
Reverse osmosis membrane element
It is mainly responsible for removing soluble salts, colloids,
organic matter and microorganisms in water. It can remove more than
97% of ions in water, and can also effectively remove TOC and
endotoxin, with a TOC removal rate of 90%.
