500LPH Frist Stage RO Filter System Drinking Water Treatment Plant
Reverse Osmosis (Reverse Osmosis, short for RO) is a high membrane
separation technology with pressure difference as driving force,
which has the characteristics of high separation degree, no phase
change, simple and efficient. The "pore size" of the RO membrane
has been as small as nanometers (1nm=10-9m), and no "filter" holes
on the surface can be seen under SEM. Under the operating pressure
higher than the osmotic pressure of raw water, water molecules can
reverse osmosis through the RO semi-permeable membrane to produce
pure water, and a large number of inorganic ions, organic matter,
colloids, microorganisms, pyrogen in the raw water are intercepted
by the RO membrane.

Usually, when the conductivity of raw water is less than 200μS/cm,
the conductivity of primary RO pure water is less than 5μs/cm,
which is in line with the laboratory grade 3 water standard. For
areas with high raw water conductivity, in order to save the
subsequent replacement cost of mixed bed ion exchange resin and
improve the quality of pure water, customers can consider choosing
the two-stage reverse osmosis purification system. The two-stage RO
pure water conductivity is about 1-5 μS/cm, which is related to the
raw water quality. The principle of reverse osmosis: The same
volume of dilute solution (such as fresh water) and concentrated
solution (such as sea water or salt water) are placed on both sides
of a container, with semi-permeable membrane barrier in the middle.
The solvent in dilute solution will naturally pass through the
semi-permeable membrane and flow to the concentrated solution side.
The liquid level of the concentrated solution side will be higher
than that of the dilute solution, forming a pressure difference and
reaching the osmotic equilibrium state. The pressure difference is
the osmotic pressure. The osmotic pressure depends on the type of
the concentrated liquid. The concentration and temperature are
independent of the properties of the semi-permeable film. If a
pressure greater than the osmotic pressure is applied on the side
of the concentrated solution, the solvent in the concentrated
solution will flow to the dilute solution, the direction of flow of
the solvent and the original direction of penetration, this process
is called reverse osmosis.
A positively charged reverse osmosis membrane
Now widely used low pressure, ultra-low pressure composite film
material are aromatic polyamide, the membrane surface are negative
charge, there are membrane manufacturers have developed a surface
with positive charge low pressure composite film, this film is
mainly used in the preparation of high resistivity high pure water
system, in Japan, The positive charge film ES10C produced by Nitto
Denko has achieved high pure water resistivity of 10 ~ 15 megohm in
the three-stage reverse osmosis system in the semiconductor
industry, and the final water resistivity of the three-stage
reverse osmosis system produced by Hyundai Electronics in Korea is
8 ~ 9 megohm. A 170 t/h three-stage reverse osmosis system in a
semiconductor factory in Shanghai also reached the above targets.
In addition, the resistivity of water produced by reverse osmosis
is 1 ~ 4 megohm in the two-stage reverse osmosis system of the
scale of 5 ~ 20 tons/hour in some domestic pharmaceutical
factories. In 2000, the domestic pharmaceutical industry will put
into production 20 sets of such reverse osmosis systems.
Process flow of RO Water Treatment System

osmosis (RO) device → Purified water tank → High pressure pump →
Two Stage reverse osmosis → ultraviolet sterilization device →
water point.
