Directional guide signage is comprised of four
components, the:
• Destination
• Direction
• Route
• Distance.
In large city centres having an arterial street system accessing the highway, the destination placed on the sign is typically the next cross street . At major junctions within the city area where two highways intersect, directions may be provided to both a cross street destination and a community destination . Direction
