200G Error Meter Easily Switches Between NRZ And PAM4 Code Types
PAM4 (four-level pulse amplitude modulation), as an emerging high-speed serial bus encoding mode, is present in almost all standards over 50Gbps. The 200G PAM4 error tester is designed for PAM4 signal testing at 200G rates, with high performance, high precision and high flexibility.
Main function
Code switching: The 200G PAM4 error meter can easily switch between
NRZ (non-return-to-zero code) and PAM4 code without any peripheral
accessories to meet a variety of test needs.
Signal adjustment: It has the functions of output amplitude
adjustment and PAM4 signal level proportional adjustment, which can
flexibly adjust signal parameters according to test requirements.
Error detection: It can send digital signals and monitor the sent
signals, accurately record the number and type of error codes, and
provide detailed error statistics.
Advanced analysis: Support for vertical and horizontal eye
scanning, as well as SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) and bar chart
analysis, providing powerful support for in-depth analysis of
signal quality.
Technical specification
Data rate: PAM4 signal testing up to 200G is supported, some models
may support higher rates.
Number of channels: Usually has multiple channels, support the
simultaneous testing of multiple signals, improve test efficiency.
Output amplitude: The output amplitude range is usually between
250mV and 1000mV, which can be adjusted according to test
requirements.
Pre-weight and jitter: Supports the pre-weight function and the
adjustment of parameters such as random jitter to simulate the real
communication environment.
Encoding and decoding: PAM4 encoding and corresponding decoding
functions are supported, while KR4 and extended KP4 FEC (forward
error correction) encoding may be supported.
