Aluminum ingots for remelting GB/T1196-2008 replace GB/T1196-2002, GB12768-1991, GB/T8644-2000

This standard is revised and adopted ISO115:2003 "Grades and Compositions of Aluminum Ingots for Remelting", and redrafted according to ISO115:2003.

For the convenience of comparison, a comparative list of the clauses of this standard and the corresponding international standard clauses is listed in the informative Appendix A.

This standard was modified when ISO 115:2003 was adopted. These technical differences are identified by a vertical single line in the margins of the clauses to which they refer. The main technical differences are as follows:

——The grades of refined aluminum ingots in Table 1 and the serial grades in Table 2 of ISO115:2003 are not used;

- Added Al99.90, Al99.85, Al99.60, Al99.50, Al99.00 grades;

- Added specific requirements for steel strips for packaging;

- Deleted Normative Appendix A in ISO 115:2003.

Packing and Storing
We have used a healthy mix of automation and manual labor to ensure minimal wastage and proper packaging and storing. Fork lifts are used both for handling scrap and finished products. The Ingots are marked, packaged and stored in clean and safe company warehouses.
