The chlor-alkali industry is the earliest application of titanium
in the chemical industry. Titanium equipment used in chlor-alkali
production is mainly: metal anode electrolyzer, ionic membrane
electrolyzer, tubular wet chlorine cooler, refined brine preheater,
dechlorination tower, chlor-alkali cooling scrubber, vacuum
dechlorination pump and valve and other titanium equipment, in
which titanium seamless tubing and titanium welded pipes are the
main piping material.
Welded pipe in titanium Gr.2 mainly used for cooler in chlorine alkali industry, condensers in
power plant, heat exchangers in desalination, and many other
corrosion resistance fields. Titanium welded tubes as the
alternative material of stainless steel welded tubes, no pollution,
less maintainance, long life span, good weldability, and also light
weight and anti-corrosion. We supply Gr2 titanium welded tubes,
Gr12 titanium welded tubes, the main advantages of our welded tubes
are for their uniform wall thickness and uniform tolerance. Welded
tubes and welded pipes used as condensing pipe, heat exchange pipe
and fluid conveying pipe.

Reasons for Using Titanium Piping Material When Transport Wet
Chlorine Gas
The degree of corrosion of wet chlorine gas is very high, which is
easy to cause corrosion leakage of equipment and pipelines. The use
of graphite, glass tube, ceramic, plastic coolers, etc., there are
many problems such as poor corrosion resistance, easy to break,
easy to age, and stainless steel coolers can only be used for 8 to
10 days on the need to stop for repair. The test results show that
titanium is extremely resistant to corrosion in the environment of
high temperature wet chlorine gas, and the annual corrosion amount
is 0.0025mm. The use of titanium coolers and titanium pipes in
chlor-alkali industrial production can shorten the cooling and
drying process, reduce the loss of chlorine gas, reduce
environmental pollution, and create conditions for stable operation
of compressed gas and achieve a high degree of drying.
