--- Characteristics of Grade 5 Titanium Alloy Plate ---
Gr5 is also called Ti-6Al-4V, it has poor stamping properties and
good thermoplasticity. It can be welded in various forms, the
strength of the welded joint can reach 90% of the strength of the
base metal. Machining performance is still good, it is necessary to
use carbide cutting tools, large cutting speed, slow speed,
sufficient cooling. Good corrosion resistance and good thermal
stability. It is one of the most widely used titanium alloys to
make long-term work parts below 400 ℃.
We have large inventory of titanium alloy plates in titanium Grade
5, Ti6Al4V Gr5 titanium plates are workhorse of so many titanium
grades materials. Gr5 titanium alloy plate is widely used in petrochemical, marine,
offshore, power plant, aerospace, metallurgy, sports and many other fields.
As a leading supplier of titanium plate in China, we have ASTM B265
titanium plate, ASME B265 titanium plate, AMS 4911 titanium plate,
and medical grade ASTM F136 titanium plate. The titanium plates we
have are in great surface, super mechenical properties, excellent welding performance and accurate dimensions. 6Al-4V per ASTM B265 for Titanium Sheet, Strip, and Plate in the
Annealed Condition. We offer both Gr5 Ti6Al4V and Gr23 Ti6Al4V Eli sheet and plate.
Titanium plates are well know for it's good heat resistance,
corrosion resistance, elasticity resistance and formability.

Mechanical Properties of of Ti6Al4V Titanium Plate (Min.):
Grade | Thickness(mm) | Tensile Strength | Yield Strength |
Gr.5 6Al-4V | 0.8~25.0 | ≥895MPa | ≥830MPa |
6Al-4V is known as the workhorse of the aerospace industry because
it is by far the most common Titanium alloy. 6Al-4V is 30% stronger
than steel while with the weight 50% lighter. Commonly referred to
as Ti 6AL-4V (or Ti 6-4), this designation refers to its chemical
composition of almost 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, 4% vanadium, 0.25%
(max) iron and 0.2% (max) oxygen. 6Al-4V is an alpha-beta alloy. Ti 6Al-4V offers a combination of high strength, light weight,
formability and corrosion resistance which have made it a most
common used high temprature titanium alloy plate and sheet for
shipbuilding, aerospace industry, power plants, desalination, metal fabricating industries.
6Al-4V Plate Thickness ranges from >4.75mm to 60mm Thick, hot
rolling.
6Al-4V Sheet Thickness range from 0.3mm to 6.0mmThick, cold
rolling.

--- Applications of Titanium Grade 5 Plates ---
Titanium alloy is mainly used to make compressor parts for aircraft
engines, and can be used to manufacture compressor disks and
blades. Followed by the structural components of rockets, missiles
and high-speed aircraft. In the 1970s, the amount of titanium alloy
used in aero engines generally accounted for 20% to 30% of the
total weight of the structure. It was mainly used to manufacture
compressor components, such as forged titanium fans, compressor
disks and blades, cast titanium compressor casings, and
intermediaries. Case, bearing housing, etc. The spacecraft mainly
uses the high specific strength, corrosion resistance and low
temperature resistance of titanium alloys to manufacture various
pressure vessels, fuel storage tanks, fasteners, instrument bands,
frames and rocket shells. Artificial earth satellites, lunar
modules, manned spacecraft and space shuttles also use titanium
alloy plate weldments.
