Introduction
Wire drawing machine is the main equipment for drawing high carbon steel wire rod into metal wire. Ordinary wire drawing machine will produce high temperature under the condition of high-speed drawing, and high temperature will have an adverse impact on the drawn metal wire. No matter whether the die of wire drawing machine is air-cooled or water-cooled, the temperature of die and winch cannot be reduced. Even under the condition of water cooling, the temperature of die will not be lower than 250 °C. Therefore, the ordinary wire drawing machine can only pull down and pull out the qualified metal wire under the condition of low-speed operation.
The new type of straight wire drawing machine developed at present can effectively solve the problem of high temperature caused by high-speed wire drawing machine. The tension of the straight wire drawing machine reduces the pressure of the die, the temperature of the die is greatly reduced, and the drawing speed is greatly improved. The forced air cooling of metal wire rod by straight wire drawing machine reduces the problem of wire rod to a certain extent. If the water-cooled wire drawing machine is adopted, the drawing speed can be greatly improved and good mechanical properties can be maintained.
In recent years, the hydrodynamic lubrication box developed with wire drawing machine equipment effectively reduces the temperature of the die by improving the boundary lubrication conditions. At the same time, reduce the tension and improve the drawing speed. Practice has proved that hydrodynamic lubrication can effectively improve the drawing speed.
