Drilling Fluid Additives Potassium Humate Black Flake Granulate
Product Introduction
Potassium humate can be used for rheology and filtration control in water-based slurries and helps maintain a constant pH. It is particularly
effective in stabilizing the properties of slurries exposed to high
temperatures and contaminants such as calcium.
Potassium humate is particularly effective as a synergistic
additive with lignosulfonates in high temperature applications and
dispersions. Can be
used with any water based fluid.
Potassium humate does not require additional treatment with caustic
soda. It is most effective in mud systems with an alkaline pH in
the 9 - 11
range.
Potassium humate stabilizes shale formations, inhibits wall
collapse, reduces viscosity and reduces fluid loss.
At the same time, potassium humate can also form a thin and dense
mud cake. And can reduce differential pressure adhesion.
