Enveloping Worm Gear Description
The enveloping slewing drive is a new type of rotary and transmission product. It is usually called slewing drive or slewing bearing, which is usually composed of double enveloping worm, gear, housing, motor and other components. Since the core components are the double enveloping worm, it can mesh with the gear more closely and to achieve multi tooth contact, thus improve the accuracy and the holding moment torque. They can simultaneously withstand axial forces, radial forces, and overturning moments. Compared with traditional rotary products, the new slewing drive features easy installation, easy maintenance and a greater degree of installation space.

Maintainance
The slewing bearing is an important component of the mechanical
slewing structure. To maintain the high-efficiency operation of the
machine under high load and harsh environments, the good
performance of the slewing bearing is one of its important basic
guarantees.
Wear and tear is one of the common failures. Therefore, in order to
reduce the wear rate of the slewing bearing, it is necessary to do
the corresponding lubrication work.
The slewing bearing must be regularly filled with lubricating
grease according to the working environment. The slewing drive has
been adequately greased at the factory. In the later stage, grease
should be added or replaced according to the frequency of use. In
special working environments, such as tropics, high humidity, dust,
large temperature changes and continuous work, the lubrication
cycle should be shortened. When adding grease to it, it should be
carried out under the condition that the slewing bearing rotates
slowly. When the grease overflows from the seal, it means that the
filling is completed, and the overflowing grease will form a film
and act as a seal.
The slewing bearing needs to be filled with new grease before and
after being placed for a long time, and slowly rotate the slewing
bearing to make it evenly filled.
In order to lubricate the slewing bearing, attention should not
only be paid to the methods and methods, but also to the selection
of the appropriate type of lubricating oil. For example, the
quality of the grease is poor and aging, and the selection of the
wrong lubricant will aggravate the wear of the slewing bearing.
