History of Tower Photothermal
The design concept of the tower solar thermal power generation system was proposed by the former Soviet Union in the 1950s. In 1950, the former Soviet Union designed the world's first small tower-type solar thermal power station, and carried out extensive and fundamental exploration and research on solar thermal power generation technology. According to incomplete statistics, there were more than 20 megawatt-scale solar thermal power experimental power stations built in the world from 1981 to 1991, the main form of which is the tower power station, with a maximum power generation of 80 MW. In July 2013, China's Qinghai Zhongkong Delingha 50MW tower solar thermal power station-Phase I-10MW project was successfully integrated into Qinghai Power Grid, indicating that China's self-developed solar thermal power generation technology has taken solid steps toward commercial operation.
