VE7 Hourglass Enveloping Worm Gear Slewing Drive For Single Solar Tracking System
Hourglass Worm Gear Slewing Drive Description
Slewing drives, also known as slewing ring drives or slewing ring bearings, are a type of gearbox that provides rotational movement in machinery applications. They consist of a slewing ring (a large bearing) and a drive mechanism, typically a worm gear or a spur gear system.
Hangtuo Mechanical, located in Changzhou, China, have enrich and expert knowledge on designing, developing and manufacturing slewing drives. We have more than 10 years’ experience. Our team is specialized in researches and developments in that particular area. Our experience covers the fields of tracking technologies for photovoltaic systems, mechanical engineering, slewing drive technology.

Working principle
The working principle of slewing drive is based on gear
transmission. Through the torque provided by the motor or power
source, the planetary gears in the drive mechanism transmit the
torque to the outer ring gear and the inner ring gear, thereby
rotating the entire slewing drive. The outer ring gear is connected
to the slewing ring, and the inner ring gear is connected to the
driving mechanism. By controlling the rotation of the drive
mechanism, the rotation of the load connected to the slewing drive
can be controlled.
Applications
Solar trackers including single axis solar tracking systems and
dual axis solar tracking systems, wind turbines, satellite and
radar dishes, truck cranes, man lifts, utility equipment, hydraulic
equipment attachments, oil tool equipment, tire handlers, diggers,
and automotive lifts.
