WC-Co cemented carbide has the following performance characteristics:

1. High hardness and wear resistance. It is generally between HRA86 and 93, and decreases with the increase of cobalt content.

2. The flexural strength at room temperature is between 90 and 150MPa, and the higher the cobalt content, the higher the flexural strength.

3. Relatively stable chemical properties. It is resistant to acid and alkali, and does not undergo significant oxidation even at high temperatures.

4. High thermal conductivity. It is about 1 times higher than that of high-speed steel, and increases with the increase of cobalt content.

5. The thermal expansion coefficient is relatively small. It is lower than high-speed steel, carbon steel and copper, and increases with the increase of cobalt content.

6. The compressive strength is 340~560kg/mm2, the compressive strength of hot isostatically pressed cemented carbide products reaches 600 kg/mm2, while the quenched alloy tool steel is only 250~260kg/mm2.

7. High wear resistance. 15-20 times higher than the best high-speed steel.
