Feline Blood Typing Rapid Test Cassette
(Whole Blood)
REF VIFAB-402
A rapid test for the qualitative detection of Feline Blood Typing A
and B and AB antigen in feline whole blood specimen.
INTENDED USE
The Feline Blood Typing Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) is a
solid-phase method test for determining the regular feline AB blood
typing.
PRINCIPLE
The assay starts with a sample applied to the specimen well and add
provided washing buffer later to the “Buffer” well. The monoclonal
antibody immobilized respectively on the pad in sample region can
react with the corresponding antigen on the surface of the red
blood
cells (RBC). A positive sample produces an immune response and RBC
can be captured on the sample region as a red signal, indicating
that the test is positive. A negative sample does not produce an
immune response, after adding washing buffer, the RBC can be washed
away, and the absence of the RBC indicates that the test is
negative.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Allow the test, specimen and buffer to reach room temperature
(15-30 °C) prior to testing.
1. Remove the test cassette from the sealed foil pouch and use it
as soon as possible. Best results will be obtained if the assay is
performed within one hour.
2. Place the cassette on a clean and level surface.
3. Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of whole blood
(approximately 10 L) to “A”, “B”, “C” well of test cassette
separately. Let it stands for 3-5 minutes. “C” well is for quality
control.
4. Before use the buffer, make sure that the buffer is left at the
bottom of the buffer bottle. If it is at the neck of the bottle,
shake it firmly
several times to return the buffer to its place. Cut the bottleneck
of the buffer with scissors and add 2 vials of washing buffer to
“Buffer” well.
5. Interpret test results at 2 minutes on “A” “B” “C” well. Do not
interpret the result after 15 minutes.
