Press the pushbutton on the handbrake lever and, at the same time, pull the handbrake lever upwards. Let out the pushbutton and then press the handbrake down, thereby releasing the parking brake again.

After the handbrake has been applied, the handbrake lever can be lowered. The space created above the overrun device is now free and can be used.

Important: This handbrake position could lead to the mistaken assumption that the handbrake has already been released.
