China Fastener Type SO/SOA/SOS Through-hole Self-Clinching Standoffs
The rivet nut column can be divided into four types from the
material and the form of internal thread: fast cutting steel
through hole rivet nut column SO type, stainless steel through hole
rivet nut column SOS type, fast cutting steel blind hole rivet nut
column BSO type and stainless steel blind hole rivet nut column
BSOS type, which are respectively used in different environments.
There is no specific national standard for rivet nuts. The early
manufacturers came from the United States and gradually formed
today's industry standard after being introduced into China. Most
of the domestic manufacturers are from suzhou in Jiangsu province
and Dongguan in Guangdong Province.

Product Detail
1. What is a blind standoff?
blind standoffCSOS / CSS series
These standoffs ensure permanent mounting in metal sheets as thin as 1.60mm. The fastener head is locked securely in a blind, milled hole and is able to handle substantial loads.
2. What is self Clinching standoff?
Self-clinching standoffs provide a solution when design engineers
need to space panels and components in their metal enclosures. They
are used to stack parts or keep components a defined distance from
the panel in which they are installed.
3. What does self clinch mean?
Self-clinching fasteners are typically threaded devices that cause
the thinner host metal to cold flow into the undercut of the
fastener when pressed or threaded. Types of self-clinching
fasteners include: Studs. Nuts. Spacers.
4. What are self Clinching fasteners?
Self-Clinching fasteners are threaded nuts, studs, or standoffs
that are mechanically pressed into sheet metal to provide solid
fastening points.
5. How do you install a self Clinching nut?
Don't install fastener on the pre-painted side of the panel.
Prepare properly sized mounting hole in sheet. ...
Place shank of nut into mounting hole, preferably the punch side.
With punch and anvil surfaces parallel, apply squeezing force until
the head of the nut comes into contact with the sheet material.
