Material for riveting studs
The materials used for producing riveting studs are carbon steel,
medium carbon steel and stainless steel. Rivet nuts made of carbon
or medium carbon steel are heat treated and plated with zinc or
nickel.
Pressure rivet nut column production
The production equipment of riveting nut column is Taiwan precision
automatic lathe, the spindle is equipped with five sets of cutting
tools, equipped with fine-tuning screws, drilling, tapping,
milling, chamfering at the same time, the concentricity is
accurate, the surface is smooth and clean without turning tool
traces.
Use of rivet nut column
The rivet nut column can be riveted and installed on 0.5mm thick
sheet. After rivet, a firm internal thread can be formed on it. The
riveting equipment is pressed parallel to the head, and the
hexagonal edge of the riveting stud and the sheet metal are
fastened to prevent sliding and falling off.

1. How do self-clinching nuts work?
Self-Clinching fasteners work by utilizing a special clinch
feature. When the part is pressed into the hole, the parent
material is displaced and cold-flows into the clinch feature,
effectively locking the fastener into the panel, providing
excellent torque-out and push-out performance.
2. How do you remove a self-clinching stud?
For removal I would just drill them out with a centered hole as
large as possible and they should pop out easily. Drill the out to
remove, use a pneumatic Rivet Gun (not an air hammer) and a flush
rivet set to install them.
3. How do you clinch a nut?
Pierce-clinch nuts are self-piercing and require no hole to be
pre-punched into a sheet or the workpiece. The nut is simply
pressed in from one side, with a die on the opposite side. A
central disc is sheared away, leaving a hole in the sheet where the
pierce-clinch nut is pressed.
4. What is a free running fastener?
New PEM® S-RT free-running lock-nuts allow the mating screw to be
spun on freely until a until clamp load is induced. Unlike other
thread locking systems the screw runs freely until the final clamp
load is reached and provides superior resistance to vibration.
